Health wearables, connected vehicles, environmental sensors, these networks generate continuous, high-value data streams that AI labs, insurers, and researchers will pay significant sums to access. The market is real and the demand is already there. The reason it has not been built is not demand. It is trust. Nobody will contribute biometric or location data to a transparent ledger or a centralized database that can leak, be subpoenaed, or be sold without consent. Confidential compute changes that equation. When data can be encrypted on-device, computed inside enclaves, and monetized without ever being exposed in plaintext, the entire sector becomes viable. That infrastructure does not exist yet at scale. The next 10 years will be spent building it. That is what VEIL is.
