$HEY treasury ledger

Where the creator tax goes, in thirds, and what the treasury ledger records today.

Policy set 2026-09-09. State checked 2026-10-10.

Where the creator tax goes

Pons V2 charges the creator tax $HEY launched with — 2% of every trade, on the bonding curve and, after graduation, in the Uniswap v4 pool — and pays it in full to the creator fee recipient, which is the HEY treasury. HEY’s policy splits the creator tax paid to the treasury in three equal parts: research bounties, infrastructure and data, platform operations. Its spending is not recorded in the ledger yet.

Part Pays for
Research bounties · 1/3 Researchers and builders who verify ships, correct records and map sources
Infrastructure and data · 1/3 Servers, RPC, indexing, the public API and feeds
Platform operations · 1/3 Moderation, the weekly content, badges and films

This is the only split HEY publishes. No buyback and no market operations: no part of the treasury is used to trade $HEY. Pons V2 has a buyback option of its own; HEY has not read its setting for $HEY from the chain, so this page makes no claim about it.

What the ledger holds today

HEY’s ledger records every HEY payment its research economy handles — research requests, bounty funding and payouts, bond deposits and refunds — with its transaction, and HEY reads the treasury’s balance from the chain every day. The creator tax is paid to the treasury by the Pons pool hook when fees are swept; HEY has not yet recorded which asset each payment arrived in, and none of it is in the ledger yet, so no monthly statement has been published.

The balances and the ledger do not reconcile yet

HEY reads the treasury's balances from the chain every day, and they have moved more than HEY's ledger explains: the creator tax and the treasury's own spending are not recorded. The $HEY page and GET /api/hey/profile (treasury.reconciliation) state the figures, computed from the daily balance reads and the ledger each time they are read — the first read, the highest, the latest, and what the ledger's confirmed rows in the same blocks account for. Until the creator tax and the treasury's spending are recorded, HEY publishes no statement and makes no claim about how past creator tax was spent. Anyone can trace the flows from the treasury address on the explorer.

Your own rows — every transfer HEY recorded from your linked wallet or to it, with its status on chain — are on your account page. The treasury's current balances, read from the chain, are on the $HEY page.

How the numbers are read

Every figure comes from the chain, not from a spreadsheet:

  • On the curve (closed at graduation on 9 September 2026), the 2% accrued inside the Pons bonding curve and was paid to the treasury when the fees were swept.
  • After graduation, the Pons Uniswap v4 hook collects the tax on pool trades and pays it to the same treasury when the pool fees are swept. HEY has not yet recorded which asset each payment arrived in.
  • Payments in HEY — a research request, a bounty, a bond — count only once HEY has checked the transaction's receipt on chain; a payment HEY cannot confirm is marked rejected and never counted.
  • Payments out are transfers sent from the treasury, each with its transaction hash, or an invoice reference for a service paid off chain. Each carries one of the three parts.

Anyone can re-derive the inflows from the treasury address on the Robinhood Chain explorer.

The monthly statement

Once the creator tax is recorded, the statement is one table per month:

## YYYY-MM

Inflows (from chain)
| Date | Tx | Source | ETH |
|---|---|---|---|

Outflows
| Date | Part | What | Reference | ETH |
|---|---|---|---|---|

Totals: in X ETH · research bounties Y · infrastructure and data Y · platform operations Y · carried forward Z

Until then the $HEY page states the policy and the state above, and nothing else.
